Possession Proceedings in the County Court

This course can be delivered either specifically to deal with rent possessions or for possession proceedings generally.

The focus of the training is to look at the evidence required to prove a breach, and, where not an application for mandatory possession, what is needed to show a Judge that it is reasonable to grant possession.

Consideration is also given to the common defences of capacity, disrepair and human rights and what preventative measures can be taken to minimise such challenges.

Ultimately, the aim of the course is to make you think 'should I be going for possession' because the tenant 'won't' comply with their tenancy or are there reasons they 'can't' comply and what can we to enable them to sustain their tenancies.

This course is for all who work in Social Housing but specifically for anyone with responsibility to enforce the tenancy agreement.

Delivered over a day, this course is currently only available in a live format, either face to face or virtually although a digital version will hopefully be developed soon.
