Disrepair and How to Prevent It

This course is aimed at Social Housing Providers including Local Authorities who are experiencing claims for disrepair whether from Claim Firms or as Defences/Counterclaims to Possession action.

The course takes you through your legal repairing responsibilities and how disrepair may manifest itself.  It guides providers through how to deal with claims when they are received and what potential outcomes there may be including, where disrepair is found to have occurred, how damages are quantified.

The course also looks at how organisations can identify potential hot spots within their current procedures that might result in potential for disrepair and what providers can do to avoid this.

The digital course is split across five modules, each containing several video lessons of between 5 and 10 minutes in length.  There are also downloadable checklists, process maps and templates for dealing with claims.

This course is for anyone who deals with the management of your properties including those who take requests for repairs, housing managers, surveyors, asset managers as well as those who deal with possession hearings including rent officers.
