Personalised Housing Plans

To me, this is such an important course for Housing Options and Homelessness Officers.

It takes officers through what is required from and within a Personal Housing Plan, taking into consideration the needs support and aspirations of the applicant; its need to be flexible and regularly reviewed.

This course also looks at the findings of the Housing Ombudsman's report from July 2020 - Home Truths: How well are Councils implementing the Homeless Reduction Act.  Lessons learnt from complaints.

The course specifically focuses on the impact of delays, the need for effective communication and identifies poor practice set out in the report.

Delivered over half a day, this course is currently only available in a live format, either face to face or virtually although a digital version will hopefully be developed soon.
